New York hasn’t passed any significant climate legislation in years, even as extreme weather events have become more and more frequent. Our state must be a leader in clean energy if we are to preserve our planet for future generations.

Half of New Yorkers report skipping or delaying medical care because of cost. If elected, I would fight to pass the New York Health Act, which guarantees healthcare coverage for all New Yorkers with their provider of choice.

Unaffordability in childcare in New York is at crisis levels, and we cannot count on the federal government to solve this problem. Universal childcare will give young families the freedom they need to grow and thrive.

The fight for civil rights is not over – we must pass legislation that protects the most vulnerable New Yorkers. I support legislation that prioritizes treatment over jail for people with mental illnesses, restores rights to formerly incarcerated people, and keeps immigrant families together.
